Broker/Producer - Employee Benefits - Rye Brook, NY

Job Summary:
The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new business revenue growth as well as supporting existing client revenue retention and growth.
Successful candidates will utilize their combined knowledge of the benefits insurance industry with demonstrated success in sales and client relationships to develop, maintain, and retain a book of business. The EB Producer serves as a risk management advisor to our clients, working closely with the service team to provide quality, consultative services to our clients. Candidates do not need to have previous insurance experience. For successful sales & business development people from other fields (including banking, accounting, peo's, etc) it's a great opportunity to maximize their network.
Required Competencies:
Life and Health licensure or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
Bachelor's degree preferred
3 or more years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance industry
Successful business-to-business sales experience (professional services or employee benefits preferred) with experience selling to the senior executive level
Ability to learn, understand and champion sales process/campaigns
Professional demeanor and strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to apply critical thinking, make sound judgments, and pay attention to detail
Knowledge of "Applied Agency Management Systems - Epic" software is beneficial;
Adept at word processing, Excel and internet-based rating programs;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Organizational and Time Management skills;
Team Player;
Ability to multi-task and handle simultaneous projects.
Salary Range: Commensurate with Experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
