THE POSITION: Director of Purchasing We are looking to add a Director of Purchasing to our world class production team. The Director of Purchasing is outstanding at cross-functional collaboration and leveraging business process, analytics and systems to drive the tactical execution of supply chain initiatives to support sales in our explosive business.  The Director of Purchasing will directly impact the customer experience by delivering inventory management strategy, processes and tactical support to deliver strong product availability and improved inventory turnover.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Create an environment that is stimulating, challenging and fun while driving improved business results Develop the strategy and tactics to support sales forecast while achieving in-stock and inventory turn objectives Develop effective supplier and inventory management performance metrics to accurately gauge supplier and third-party manufacturing improvements Develop tools and procedures to allow for both pro-active and re-active management of in stocks Drive continued process improvements to allow for exception management from the team Partner with supply chain and key business partners to provide accurate forecasting and demand planning for execution and planning purposes Develop, implement, evaluate and continually revise material usage model and purchasing forecast Educate both internal and external partners on the components of a forecast, what drives variability and each organization's contribution to the forecast Provide direction to the team as to how to quickly get and appropriately analyze the information to form recommendations for inventory improvements and other business decisions Identify and mitigate potential out-of-stock situations with suppliers Prioritize shipments with vendor and supplier partners Manage all workroom receiving exceptions, working with appropriate partners to identify issues and correct Develop, implement, and execute procedures to track open orders to ensure on time delivery Partner with Product Development, Production Coordinators, and Fulfillment on special projects Improve and manage material discontinuation process Participate in the formal assortment review with design and product development WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience 5-10 years of industry experience Demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision making Must be flexible, adaptable and resourceful and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity Experience developing and implementing forecasting and inventory control models Proven experience leveraging technology and improved processes to drive business results Strong analytical aptitude - ability to identify and analyze problems to provide an actionable solution Detail oriented and highly organized - must be able to dig in and communicate the details of the business Strong leadership skills - proven experience in leading and building teams Experience working with domestic and overseas suppliers - understanding of import processes and regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills - specifically when partnering with suppliers and finding solutions to problems Team player with stellar work ethic and people skills Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must Calm demeanor under pressure - must have the ability to manage through change Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel- filters, pivot tables, data manipulation and graphical representation Fabric knowledge - a plus but not required If you are looking to be part of a growing family of enthusiastic and hard-working individuals, we would love to hear from you!

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
